NXT Quantum AI+ Pulse & AI+ Nova

NXT Quantum AI+

📦 Unboxing & First Impressions

The NXT Quantum AI+ Pulse and AI+ Nova come neatly packed in minimalistic retail boxes. Inside, you’ll find the phone, a back case, Type-C cable, documentation, and a 10W charger. For the Nova 5G 8+128GB variant, you may get an 18W charger in the box. Both support 18W charging natively. The overall unboxing experience is clean and practical — just right for the budget segment.

🤝 Feel & Build Quality

Both phones feature polycarbonate bodies but with thoughtful design elements. The AI+ Nova has a glossy finish that mimics glass and comes in vibrant colors like Black, Blue, Pink, Purple, and Green. The side-mounted fingerprint scanners are fast and responsive. While both phones are plastic-built, they feel sturdy and lightweight, offering decent in-hand feel for budget devices.

📸 Camera – Basic But Functional

Both the AI+ Pulse and AI+ Nova sport a 50MP primary sensor at the back and a 5MP selfie camera. The Nova 5G surprises by supporting 4K video recording with EIS. Selfies support 1080p video. Camera performance is decent in good lighting, but not meant for enthusiasts. Features like EIS and clean photo output make them reliable for basic use.

🎥 Display – Budget Friendly, Smooth Panels

The AI+ Pulse features a 6.5-inch HD+ TFT panel with 90Hz refresh rate, while the AI+ Nova upgrades to a 120Hz HD+ LCD panel with 450 nits of brightness. Both displays offer acceptable viewing angles and color reproduction for indoor usage and content watching. Despite not having Full HD resolution, the smooth high refresh rates are a welcome feature in this price segment.

🚀 Performance – Adequate for Daily Use

The AI+ Pulse is powered by the Unisoc T615 processor, which is capable enough to handle daily tasks without issue. The AI+ Nova takes it further with the 6nm Unisoc T8200, scoring around 475K on AnTuTu benchmarks. It delivers smooth multitasking and remains thermally stable under regular usage. Both devices feature LPDDR4 RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, ensuring reliable performance for casual users.

💪 Battery & Charging

Both phones are equipped with a 5000mAh battery that delivers excellent endurance, lasting well over a day with regular usage. They support 18W fast charging, but come with only a 10W charger in the box, resulting in longer charging times. Still, the battery life makes up for this drawback.

📲 Software & NXT Quantum OS

These phones run Android 15 with NXT Quantum OS — a custom skin that offers a clean, bloatware-free experience. Privacy and security are central to the OS, with features like Privacy Dashboard, Private Space, and an Advanced Security Hub. The OS claims to store data securely in India under Google’s local cloud regions and is MeitY-approved. This adds a layer of confidence for privacy-conscious users.

📱 Multimedia Experience

Multimedia consumption is decent thanks to large HD+ displays and smooth refresh rates. However, both phones only have a single bottom-firing speaker and mic, which is fairly loud but lacks stereo depth. FM radio is available for traditional users, but there’s no gyroscope, and the audio-visual setup is best suited for casual viewing rather than immersive entertainment.

🔧 Service & Support

Service and after-sales are handled by Jeeves, Flipkart’s official partner. The company claims over 280 service centers across 250+ cities. While this sounds promising, long-term service experience is yet to be tested. As a new brand, building customer trust through quality service will be key.

💸 Pricing & Variants

The AI+ Pulse is available in 4GB+64GB for ₹5,000 and 6GB+128GB for ₹7,000. The AI+ Nova 5G starts at ₹8,000 for 6GB+128GB and goes up to ₹10,000 for 8GB+128GB. Axis Bank users can also avail ₹500 discounts on selected variants.

🎯 Verdict – Affordable, Secure, Sensible

The AI+ Pulse and AI+ Nova are designed for budget-conscious users who need essential smartphone functionality without ads or bloatware. With Android 15, a clean custom OS, long battery life, and privacy-focused features, they check all the boxes for first-time smartphone buyers and students. While the displays are HD+ and the cameras just average, the overall package offers great value. With the right support and updates, NXT Quantum has the opportunity to carve a space for itself in India’s budget smartphone market.
